Breathwork Healing Session

Breathwork supports you in creating an intimate, warm and supportive relationship to yourself. This work is about supporting you to connect with your own energy, open your heart, and move through emotions. This is a form of pranayama where you will breath for an extended period of time using 2-stage breath.

These 75 minute sessions will allow you to hold yourself through triggers and activations with love and patience. It will allow you to feel safe looking at your conditioning and programming through a lens of curiosity rather than judgement.

As with the other techniques I facilitate, these sessions serve as a tool to support expression and release of energy and emotion within the body and nervous system. It is used as a tool for a greater connection towards our self-healing, self-love and expression - helping us find a home within our bodies and our hearts.

What is breathwork healing?

Breathwork is an umbrella term for many different types of practices and a practice itself. The type of breathwork I facilitate in this session is based in Pranayama, which is the art and science of yogic breathing techniques used since the origins of yoga.

  • This is a deep active meditation that involves a circular breathing technique to release trauma and stuck energy from the body.

  • When we work with our breath, we are working with the subconscious nervous system to breath through past patterns and elevate our health.

What should I expect during a session?

We will spend time in the first 15-20 minutes getting to know one another and any challenges you are bringing or getting clear on your intention and goals for the session. What is blocking you? We will get specific so you can get the most out of the session.

We will then move to the healing and breathe. This work is deep. Once you completed the breathing, you will have time to process and integrate. It’s a magical time where you have clarity and feel refreshed. This is a space to discuss what came up for you and any feelings or emotions that may arise.

What are some of the benefits of Breathwork?

There are really too many to name. However, from my experience, the most powerful have been clarity, stress relief, anxiety relief, trauma resolution, deeper connection to my body, stronger immune system, and self empowered healing.

What should I expect after a session?

It can be uncomfortable, freeing, joyful, tearful, clarifying, loving, and so much more, but ultimately it is the experience of embodiment which can only be felt. It will differ for every individual. Your intention for the practice will guide the practice and its outcome.

Breathwork is never meant to take the place of medical/therapeutic care.
