Virtual Breathwork Full Moon Healing Circle

Sunday, July 27th at 8pm EST

"The next time you lose heart and you can't bear to experience what you're feeling, you might recall this instruction: change the way you see it and lean in. Instead of blaming our discomfort on outer
circumstances or on our own weakness, we can choose to stay present and awake to our experience, not rejecting it, not grasping it, not buying the stories we relentlessly tell ourselves"

—Pema Chodron

A lot of people in my world are experiencing transitions- personal, professional, big life changes- and I find myself in awe of their bravery and decisions to take a new path. In our conversations, I am often found reiterating how worthy and capable they are to choose a new path, follow their dreams, do something different. It comes so easy. For some I have had the privilege of walking alongside them through other life transitions so it is easy to pull evidence of their ability to do amazing things and to trust that they can do what they set their minds to. For others, through simple questions, we unearth proof of their abilities and reasons to trust themselves.

While I love to be the hype girl for people, it has me reflecting on how difficult it is to do the same for myself. As a person who loves a fresh start, I have plenty of examples in my own life of shifting into new careers, moving to new places, doing the uncomfortable thing. But I fall back into old beliefs of self-doubt and in my more honest moments, fear. I know stepping into my power, showing up as my full self can have consequences - both positive and negative. Following a path that might not align with what others want or need from me means I may lose some people in my life, may lose a sense of belonging. But is belonging real if you are only playing a role to get it? I chose to believe that the more I show up as myself, the more I chose the path that best aligns with me, the more I will attract the right people into my life. The more I search and dig into what is true and real to me, the more I can trust in my own beliefs and stand with them, building trust in myself.

Breathwork has been an incredible tool for me to connect with my own energy, to feel a sense of trust in myself and to find grounding during the shifts and changes of life. Won't you join me?

Breathwork is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to purge the body and nervous system of emotional debris.  It is part catharsis, part socially sanctioned adult temper tantrum, and part consciousness altering.  The experience moves stagnant emotional energy and facilitates release of strong emotions like anger and sadness.  It can help you to find a home in your body and your heart and help you learn to trust yourself.  It may leave you feeling softer, open and less burdened.

Possible benefits of breathwork:

  • Release of stuck or stagnant emotions in the body

  • A heart opening to greater love

  • Access to greater creativity and expression

  • Deeper connection to self, guides, ancestors, the natural world, and Spirit

  • Increased compassion, understanding and authentic connection in relationships

  • Renewed energy and clarity

  • Heightened intuition and receptivity

  • Decreased anxiety, frustration, overwhelm, depression, and confusion
